REVERB LOSES PACKAGE AND WON"T PAY LOSS

Sir:    I have been buying and selling since e-bay started, many years ago.........Reverb has set this up where they make all the decessions...I have tried everything, pay-pal can't help because of agreements Reverb made with them.................This is not set up to refund anything ...............

Again, did you receive the preamp or the power supply, and did you get a UPS tracking number?

Dude, just file a claim with UPS and the tracking number.

Typically, it’s the shipper who files the actual insurance claim. With UPS, shippers have the option of enforcing that practice. It’s called "shipper restriction." You can learn more about the UPS claim process here.

I can't get anybody on Reverb to help, but every communication is " computer generated" so you never communicate with a person, so they don't reason.............At some point I will give it up and move on.................You can't beleave the hours I have spent on this, and there digital answering comes in and asked the same questions day after day........They say UPS dropped it off at Staples, so I go to Staples four times to be told UPS doesn't use Staples as a drop zone anymore........And you go over it time and time again.........

So, let me get this straight, you bought something. Reverb isn’t Amazon. They aren’t a retailer. They aren’t a web merchant. They are an exchange, just like a newspaper. You place an ad and they publish it for a contracted period of time. The buyer responds to your ad. You can substitute EBay if you would like. These are simply marketplace examples. You made a purchase for product from another dude on the street just like you and it cost x amount of money. You know because it’s your money. Questions: did the seller specify insurance? Who paid for the shipping? Did you demand it be insured for a minimum of your full expenditure? Did you file a police report considering it may have been stolen —if FedEx, UPS, DHL most likely—says they delivered 2 boxes but you only found one? Were the boxes sent with separate tracking numbers? Did you ask for the shipper to investigate or even contact the shipper—I think you did that. You are not entitled to report or receive insurance from the shipper, only the shipper may. That’s contract simple. Why are you upset with Reverb? You used their credit card transaction terminal just like tapping your card at Neiman Marcus. Maybe you would then like to blame transaction merchant. You paid by credit card or bank withdrawal through PayPal. You are responsible for providing info. Did you speak with the person you bought from before the shipment? If not, please use your brain and not faith in a higher being from now on. I am gathering the answer to my questions amount to believing in virgin births and dead guys in rock sealed caves float out and up into the pretty clouds. Insure or suffer. If you didn’t ensure that the shipment was insured, I’m sorry to be the harsh reality of lesson learned, you are responsible and on the hook. Do not contact the seller if this is the case.he’s a fool, sap and moron if he wants to clean up your mess. Things happen shipping, every day. You asked for advice. 99% of people responding probably don’t have their own shipping account and don’t ship boxes and freight daily or run a retail type business. I have. I’ve seen it all and fought the battles, and sometimes they are tedious and head smashing against the wall aggravating. You got off cheap if you are out of pocket. I hope you think twice about how the real world works because you probably just lost a pick up game of craps. By the way, I won’t give people info without being verbal responding to my ads.
