McIntosh Double Box?

Hello,

I've just inherited a C2700. It has the double box.  I need to load it in my car and drive cross country. The larger, 2nd shipping box is HUGE!  If the I keep the item in the original box, will that be good enough to sell and ship it?  I really don't have room for the larger box and just trying to figure how important it is.  I'm in a small town with no resale options here.

Good idea.  It does make it easier to sell down the road.

Break the larger box down, fold it up and pack it in the car ?

@kirkwallace Nice solution, hate it when I have the wrong idea. Yours is… much.

Do NOT throw away the outer shipping box for any McIntosh gear.  It's part of the why McIntosh gear usually isn't damaged in shipment.  They spent a fortune figuring out the shipping containers, so use them.

It's an integral piece...
