Rough Trade Records - Beware Before Ordering

Just as a thought, have you checked to see if shipping is being held until Customs or VAT has been paid?

I'm in the U.S. and rarely buy stuff from the U.K. or Europe, but just today I was looking at a European site to pre-order the upcoming Half Speed Remaster of Talk Talk's awesome release, "The Colour of Spring".  There was a new warning to U.S. buyers that the shipping would be delayed until "Customs and Taxes had been paid by the buyer and they would be calculated later."  I stopped the order because I have no idea what those charges will be or how to even pay them.

Is it possible your order is in limbo?

I saw nothing about any customs issues. In fact, my order had the tariffs added. The order was placed on 5/25 and crickets since.

My refund request came through yesterday, minus 8%. I will probably contact my CC company about that charge.

Why not buy from discogs or ebay when buying used? New I usually buy from either the record labels or the following 3 merchants - music direct, acoustic sounds and elusive disc. Great customer service. No issues with exchanging defective records and their shipping is always prompt.. 

There was only one record, the remaining items were merch.

+1 don’t reward their negligence and terrible service
