ASR is BS. They measure OK but ONE parameter which is insufficient. At least they should measure white noise spectrum.
There is pretty good physical explanation for analog cables. As there is for non-error correcting red book or jitter issues in. again, non error correcting coax cables. Ethernet? USB? Never heard any decent explanation.
