LPSU foe modem and router - how important?

ASR is BS. They measure OK but ONE parameter which is insufficient. At least they should measure white noise spectrum.

There is pretty good physical explanation for analog cables. As there is for non-error correcting red book or jitter issues in. again, non error correcting coax cables. Ethernet? USB? Never heard any decent explanation.

Ever used Docusign? I guess anyone can modify that… Bits are changing, right?

And let’s discuss musicality of various Linux distros. Because why not? Signal processing is there. Type of code is different. Or brand of RAM. Or Intel vs ARM. No? Why not?

I will tell you why not. Because no one here understands how all this works. All that I hear is “noise” which is, I guess, as far as people get into the computer subject. 

I am still laughing how someone tried to explain me that "stream of bits from server to the streamer gets corrupted with noise".

Banish the hash n trash the wall wart smps are dumping back into your lines… until some genius invents docusign bit transfer directly into our brain… the impact to the delicate analog side of the system usually yields improvement 

I bought a reasonable priced PSU off allied express...just to eliminate any doubt...I am happy with my purchase...I have the latest  Google fibre router and it uses two power supplys...but got what I needed in one box with two different voltages. I am happy. Took the doubt out of my mind for less than $200.

Yea, most of use have heard that the LPS is always better then using a SMPS.  I have a Bluesound Node N130 and I bought a LPS for it.  It did make a difference, not a $400 difference, but a difference.  The biggest BUT is that you have to bypass the SMPS and that will void your warranty.  On more thought is, SMPS’s have come a long way, so you might look into getting a better quality PS that you can plug into the same power socket.

It is completely dependent on your streamer. The better your streamer, the less it matters.
