I was a Dynavector dealer for many years.  Always has been my favorite cartridge manufacturer.  It was one of my top cartridge sellers.

I still have in my stable a 23RS, 17D2MKII, 17D3, 19A and a couple of 20X series that need repaired.

Back in the day, Dynavector was pretty much the king...

Dear @dwette  : You only have to buy it and make tests comparisons.

Looks as a new great Ortofon ever made and Ortofon build quality of cartridge design at this top level is just outstanding and makes that any owner be/been totally satisfied and proud to be an owner.

You own the Lyra Atlas Lambda SL and could says that that kind of cartridge is for you.

In case you decide to buy it your tests comparisons will be totally welcomed in this and other forums.

Regards and enjoy the MUSIC NOT DISTORTIONS,

R.

I think because the super short cantilever gives old curmudgeon like me the Willie’s during use n setup and also because it is a very linear ruthless truth teller…

re the 17D3 and variants….

Dear @theophile  : Thank's to share with us the latest Audio Technica top cartridges:

Dual Moving Coil Stereo Cartridge | AT-MCD1 | Audio-Technica

Its price is 11K, 5K lower than the Vertex.

For year I love both cartridge designs and even owned almost all its top designs. As you today I can't afford the Vertex that for me looks more interesting, with out diminish the AT.

AT always has lower price than its competence but always is a challenge to any of its top competitors.

@mofimadness   , thank's too for share the Vertex.

In the other side and as what I said of AST/Ortofon is the same with Dynavector, my first Dynavector was the 23R and my last the XV-1S that even today is a excellent performer.
