What happened to Rotel?

I feel Rotel's product quality has significantly gone down hill along with their service. I would never purchase a Rotel product ever again. I purchased a Rotel RSP-1576 only four years ago and now the volume occasionally VERY low, barely audible even turning the volume to near max. Completely unplug it would resolve the issue and make the volume return to normal. I tried to obtain warranty services through Rotel but was told I need a physical receipt despite I submitted it upon product registration. Their service is absolutely horrible and would try to deny your warranty claim for any little reason they can find. Worst of all, they don't have an actual office here but only a distributor, so their actual manufacturing entity isn't bound by US Consumer laws and there's no way to file a lawsuit against them. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BRAND

I have owned the Michi 8 amps for several years and they are the best amps I have owned.

"Someone put Anthem and NAD in the class as Rotel. What an insult to Anthem and NAD,"

I know first hand that NAD is junk!

Back in '21 purchased the Rotel RA-1572 II. Right out of the box running my transport through it's dac, everytime a light switch was turned on & off it interrupted the signal and cut off the music! I fought with Rotel's US tech for weeks and told him the dac is defective. He argued with me saying there's nothing wrong with our amp, it's your house's electric, call a electrician! So I called my dealer, brought it in. He hooked it up in his showroom hit the light switch and it cuts out! He gave me a full refund which I put towards a Luxman 505. I will never purchase anything from Rotel or anything associated with that company again!

Never liked them during the mid-late 70's either.  The michi products look competent but why?
