AI can be useful if its used as a starting point and even then should be taken with a big grain of salt. I've had AI analyze my system which it says is "world class." Then I put in pretty much random components and it gives pretty much the same answer. It sure seems that it is programmed, like Fox News and MSNBC, to tell you what you want to hear. People like to be told that they are thin, attractive and smart so AI acquires credibility in that way.

Making a dumb audio decision is relatively harmless, but I hear some people are actually taking medical advice from some AI app they know nothing about. Scary.

I wish they’d pass laws that require AI created videos to be labeled as such. 

Anyway - Merlin, Lazarus, and Discrete Technology (DIstech) are 3 dead brands that come to mind.  

One issue with branding is that many fine old names are still around but too many were purchased and stuck on cheap import junk.
