Love The Doors and their cover of "Back Door Man" written by Willie Dixon one of my favorite blues artists. Robert Johnson, Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Blues Project also come to mind.
What blues are you listening to today?
Blues is by far my favorite and most listened to genre. I don't know how many of us are in here, but I thought a continuing thread of this kind might be of interest.
I'm listening to Buddy Guy's Sweet Tea. Buddy's covers of Junior Kimbrough, T-Model Ford, CeDell Davis and the like are awesome. Jimbo Mathus sitting in on rhythm guitar doesn't hurt!
So what blues are on your system today?

A Facebook reel of this artist started popping up. Quist. The guitar player is great, very easy to listen to and on Qobuz. Gary Clark Jr. Is another one. Especially live. I am by no means a blues expert but get attached to one's I like. The Music is simpler, less performers I mean. This allows very good recordings. Our local scene has some very talented blues guitarists and bands. Many jam bands incorporate blues influence to great success. |
