What blues are you listening to today?

Blues is by far my favorite and most listened to genre. I don't know how many of us are in here, but I thought a continuing thread of this kind might be of interest.

I'm listening to Buddy Guy's Sweet Tea. Buddy's covers of Junior Kimbrough,      T-Model Ford, CeDell Davis and the like are awesome. Jimbo Mathus sitting in on rhythm guitar doesn't hurt!

So what blues are on your system today?

I just got " Blues By Lonnie Johnson." He was foundational to the blues, and even played a fair share of jazz- with Duke Ellington, no less. He has this wonderful single-note style of playing that I think is great.

B.B. King Indianola Mississippi Seeds, an unusual album for him with  musicians Carole King, Russ Kunkel and Joe Walsh and Bill Szymczyk co engineering

Stephen Stills comes to my mind. I love George Thorogood and the Destroyers because they are a very engaging live act. My favorite blues are no name bands you come across randomly when out for a night on the town. Home grown local flavors...some dude with a guitar and a friend with a harp...
