I just scored a sweet pair of CS 2.4SE loudspeakers. Anyone else currently or previously owned this model? Owners of the CS 2.4 or CS 2.7 are free to chime in as well. Thiel are excellent w/ both tubed or solid-state gear!
@ovinewar1, I can’t help but wonder if you need the spikes at all. The cabinets would seem more than heavy enough to keep the drivers in place, and that you have the speakers on an above floor, might suggest that the spikes might excite vibrations on a less firm flooring.
Jayant, I have an LSA Statement hybrid integrated with home made silver coated copper cabling. I also have an Anthem amp and a Bryston, as well as a bunch of others I could hook up but I prefer the LSA. I mostly stream over Tidal through a Wiim streamer/dac. I use a Vincent hybrid for my Klipsch Belles and alternate between the LSA and Bryston for my Vandersteen 3As.
Unsound I was thinking about this myself. These things weigh in at about 125 plus pounds. I was so excited to hook them up after all these years and was bummed out when the woofer sounded muddy. They have been in their wood cases in my garage for the last 6 or so years and finally we moved and I had a place for them to spread out. The Vandersteens are keeping me company and sound amazing.
