Thiel Owners

Guys-

I just scored a sweet pair of CS 2.4SE loudspeakers. Anyone else currently or previously owned this model?
Owners of the CS 2.4 or CS 2.7 are free to chime in as well. Thiel are excellent w/ both tubed or solid-state gear!

Keep me posted & Happy Listening!

@ovinewar1 - I use Gaia II footers on my Thiel 3.7s and it made a nice difference.  I have an area rug so I bought the Gaia carpet spikes.  I believe (not 100% sure) that Sound Anchors used to make some of the stands/outriggers for Thiel (https://www.soundanchors.com/products/bymanufacturer)

Thanks to all for the responses. Kind of bummed; I hooked them up today and one of the woofers is muddying up the sound. I will reach out to the Coherent guys to see if a fix is available. It took three young men to carry them up my stairs so I don’t want to take them in for repair- it will have to be me removing the driver and sending in. I forgot how heavy these things are.

Welcome! good to see you here. Solid advice as above. Stay tuned until tomthiel

or duramax747 chimes in to address your spikes query. What other gear and cabling is in your set-up?

Happy Listening!

@ovinewar1, I can’t help but wonder if you need the spikes at all. The cabinets would seem more than heavy enough to keep the drivers in place, and that you have the speakers on an above floor, might suggest that the spikes might excite vibrations on a less firm flooring.

Jayant, I have an LSA Statement hybrid integrated with  home made silver coated copper cabling. I also have an Anthem amp and a Bryston, as well as a bunch of others I could hook up but I prefer the LSA. I mostly stream over Tidal through a Wiim streamer/dac. I use a Vincent hybrid for my Klipsch Belles and alternate between the LSA and Bryston for my Vandersteen 3As.
