I’d finalize what speakers you’re getting first then figure out the amp.
Advance Paris A12 v. McIntosh MA352
I'm looking into changing into a hybrid integrated amp. There are a number of them out there of course, but I am focusing in on two. Has anyone here compared the Advance Paris A12 to a McIntosh MA352 hybrid integrated amp? If so, how do they compare in terms of build quality, performance and value (especially since the price points on these two products is so far apart)? Or is such a comparison akin to apples v. airplanes (as in it is a ridiculous comparison)? Thanks everyone!

@soix Yes, I agree and I have done that. It will be the Sonus Faber Sonetto V. They're a wonderful speaker and they have the all-important wife approval factor - they are beautiful to look at. Thanks for your input - much appreciated. |

I’d highly suggest looking into the PrimaLuna EVO 300 Hybrid Integrated. I actually stumbled onto it by accident, I’d intended to audition the all-tube EVO 300, but received the Hybrid instead. Suffice to say, it hasn't left my rack since it arrived three months ago. It’s incredibly punchy with very tight bass control. I have mine paired with B&W 702 S3s, and it’s a perfect match; it adds just enough tube warmth to the top end without sacrificing the micro-detail of that carbon tweeter. I'm really loving the combination. |
