Advance Paris A12 v. McIntosh MA352

I'm looking into changing into a hybrid integrated amp. There are a number of them out there of course, but I am focusing in on two. Has anyone here compared the Advance Paris A12 to a McIntosh MA352 hybrid integrated amp? If so, how do they compare in terms of build quality, performance and value (especially since the price points on these two products is so far apart)? Or is such a comparison akin to apples v. airplanes (as in it is a ridiculous comparison)?  Thanks everyone!

@soix Yes, I agree and I have done that. It will be the Sonus Faber Sonetto V. They're a wonderful speaker and they have the all-important wife approval factor - they are beautiful to look at.

Thanks for your input - much appreciated.

@mofojo I agree with you. In fact, having heard and seen the A12, I am walking away from that. It is not a good value, even at its price point. Thanks.

I’d highly suggest looking into the PrimaLuna EVO 300 Hybrid Integrated. I actually stumbled onto it by accident, I’d intended to audition the all-tube EVO 300, but received the Hybrid instead. Suffice to say, it hasn't left my rack since it arrived three months ago. It’s incredibly punchy with very tight bass control. I have mine paired with B&W 702 S3s, and it’s a perfect match; it adds just enough tube warmth to the top end without sacrificing the micro-detail of that carbon tweeter. I'm really loving the combination.

Not a fan of the Mac sound — too veiled up top for my liking.  You might take a look at this hybrid Unison Unico 90 as an alternative that sounds great and could save you some $$$.

Here’s a fairly recent review to give you more of an idea of its sound characteristics.  Just another option FWIW, and best of luck.
