I’d highly suggest looking into the PrimaLuna EVO 300 Hybrid Integrated. I actually stumbled onto it by accident, I’d intended to audition the all-tube EVO 300, but received the Hybrid instead. Suffice to say, it hasn't left my rack since it arrived three months ago. It’s incredibly punchy with very tight bass control. I have mine paired with B&W 702 S3s, and it’s a perfect match; it adds just enough tube warmth to the top end without sacrificing the micro-detail of that carbon tweeter. I'm really loving the combination.
Advance Paris A12 v. McIntosh MA352
I'm looking into changing into a hybrid integrated amp. There are a number of them out there of course, but I am focusing in on two. Has anyone here compared the Advance Paris A12 to a McIntosh MA352 hybrid integrated amp? If so, how do they compare in terms of build quality, performance and value (especially since the price points on these two products is so far apart)? Or is such a comparison akin to apples v. airplanes (as in it is a ridiculous comparison)? Thanks everyone!

Not a fan of the Mac sound — too veiled up top for my liking. I am a mcintosh fan all the mcintosh I've bought in the past 5 years used has gone up in$ on the used market. I have not had to fix any of it but they have service centers all over.they stock parts. I like the meters most turn off if you need it. I like the house sound. The only thing I don't like is they won't ship some stuff new. Enjoy the music. |
