How Much Have You Spent On Cables Throughout The Years. I'm Shocked When I Checked.

I just checked the total cost of cables which I still own, all types of cables including spares. It's all recorded in an Excel sheet, actual price paid and not MSRP.

I'm shocked. It's a whopping sum of $22.4k. crying

I'm sure there would be people who have spent more. I have seriously overspent on cables though I still need to get another mains power cable before I call it a day, a rather costly one.

Too damned much. but that said I feel it was worth it. And if I could I’d spend more, that is based on cables I have tried in my system from the Cable Co lending library. But as with everything, money is the road block we all face.

Probably way less than the average audiophile and way more than anyone else.

alot, though more in sampling a variety of relatively reasonably priced cables, as opposed to shelling out for a few megabuck ones... ... but hey... we all know you can’t take the money with you... lol

Likely a few hundred dollars since 1982.  I was able to buy Cardas and Kimber Kable at dealer cost on years ago, so even the good stuff wasn’t much in the mid to late 80s.

Hello and Easter/Passover greetings.
I believe that I’ve invested less than many on this forum since I fabricate my own cables. I use primarily Mogami and Furetec raw cable and quality terminals depending on the intended purpose.  Estimate around 3k over many years.
Enjoy the music.
