Roon Issues - Not able to play certain tracks

I have been running into this issue when Roon is in the radio mode where spontaneously it runs into a track it can’t play. It just sits there trying to play it.
When I go to that album and attempt to manually play that same track on Qobuz the result is the same - it won’t play. Plays other tracks from the albums just fine.
If I go back to Roon radio and skip that track the next song is played no issues.
No such problems with Tidal.

I have rebooted the Roon Nucleus One, rebooted my network, rebooted my DAC.
Even signed out of streaming services and signed back in. No bueno. This is in addition to it being sluggish and requiring an almost daily reboot to maintain sound quality and proper operating speed. Now this…

Anyone else with this problem?

This is just my second day with Jplay. Loving it so far, not missing Roon at all. Jplay is so much faster! And I think the graphics look better.

In time I will compare sound quality vs. Squeeze, but it definitely sounds good enough to not worry about from what I can tell.

But, I still have Qobuz tracks that are not playing...

@mapman I need to get past the PTSD with Ruin to even consider spending another dollar on it. I’ve assembled a pretty much kick a$$ vinyl rig and I’ve been buying some sweet new vinyl reissues done in analog cut from original master tapes. Outstanding sound quality.
I’ll be using jplay for time being and will not touch roon.

@mclinnguy yes jplay is awesome. I also reasserted my conclusion about Tidal. Not just in light of Qobuz issues but overall it just sounds better than Q to me in my system. I need to figure out how to configure jplay to be able to read my music library from a hard drive connected to my mac mini. I know I’ll lose the metadata I enjoy with Roon but the sound quality wins over convenience for me. Jplay looks and sounds great though. I agree 100%

I've been having the same issues with Qobuz on Innuos.  Some tracks on an album just get skipped over.  Anybody else having this with Innuos as well?

Thanks

@tko956 same issues most likely. Although I was able to play the tracks that didn’t play on roon, directly in Qobuz. I’ve been listening to Tidal which is rock solid via tidal connect or jplay. Not sure if innuous is compatible with jplay or qobuz and tidal connect. Not familiar with it.

Certainly no better this morning, I have had 5 songs not play out of the first dozen from my jazz playlist (Qobuz using Jplay through Emerson Digital streamer)

I really hope I don't need to start a Tidal subscription again, I feel I have maybe one more day of patience. I used to use Tidal before Qobuz launched in Canada. I'll check out if I can sneak a trial again, maybe using a different email. devil
