Speaker Help Please: Floorstanders around $1Ok to fill very large space with no sub

Hi Gang, haven’t posted in here in years...
A great friend of mine is going through major remodel and looking for 2 large floor standing speakers to fill a great room 38’ long x 20’ wide with a celling that slopes in one direction from 15’-8’. so about 7200 cubic feet.
He is very serious about music. Used to book bands. He listens to a lot of New Orleans groove-based music and Americana. His wife loves female singers, like Brandi Carlisle.
My main advise to him is, since he/his wife don’t want a sub, they will need speakers with sufficient low end.
Haven’t thought too much about amp yet.

He will also use the system for 2 channel home theater watching.
Thanks for any suggestions

If your friend really wants a dynamic set of speakers to fill that room, don't mess around Spend a little bit of money. There's a pair of Von schweiker vr55 actives for sale on this very site And he would be more than satisfied

For 2 channel Moab Tekton great speakers, since it will used for hometheater call Erk at Tektonsesign , He can give you the best advise if the Moab are ok for HT.

I think the Tekton wall of sound works very well for home theater. I’m using Tekton Nebos and a small Velodyne sub and watching movies it’s very clear and dynamic.

I have a similar room, but slightly smaller. When I moved to this house I decided I wanted some speakers with larger drivers to move more air and give a more realistic scale, so I would recommend speakers with some larger drivers. I like the recommendations for the Pure Audio Project speakers and Fyne Audio. I am currently using the Fyne F502s speakers and they are the best sub-$5k speaker I've ever heard, and even better than some $10k speakers I've heard. However, if you can afford it I'd look at their F703 or F704 models. I am thinking of upgrading the F703sp later this year as my "end game" speaker.

Even though the OP said no subs, I do highly recommend a pair of subs for a space that big. Even if they're just medium to smaller subs like the REL S/510 they can really help smooth the bass response in that space. I have a pair of REL Carbon Specials and I barely have the gain turned up but they just help fill the space with impactful, smooth, detailed bass. If you truly can't do subs then the GoldenEar Triton Reference is a good callout because of the integrated subs. Other options along those lines are the Spatial X3's or Cube Nenuphar Basis speakers.

I don’t think I’ve seen a single reply from the OP. We do have a diverse batch of options tho.
