Volti audio upgrades for klipschorns

I bought a pair of Klipschorns in 1982'  in 2018. I did a complete voting audio replacement. In addition to converting to tubes. The replacement was more than I could believe. I will not go back.  the increase in quality was more than I could have believed. I would highly recommend this conversion.

As someone who is actively considering buying a pair of new AK7’s, I have to disagree.  Have you checked on the prices of just about everything lately??  Lumber has more than doubled in price in the last 10 years.  Shipping costs have doubled.  The price of going to lunch has doubled (employees have to eat you know) and these huge wooden speakers are made right here in the U.S.  How can they possibly hold prices steady in the face of rising costs of materials and labor??

I’m currently using Cornwall IV’s for past 18 months.  I love them more than I ever thought I would, and that’s why I’m considering K-horns.  I actually have perfectly situated corners, which I know is a rare thing!  I’ve owned many speakers over the past 30 years in the $2k - $8k price range, and I’ve never had so much fun listening as with the Cornwalls.  And it’s not about playing loud.  Music sounds full and dynamic at medium levels.  Most audiophile speakers need to be played loud to sound punchy.  Maybe it’s just my aging ears??

But at $20k, that’s a LOT of coin!....  The K-horns are 260lbs of wood and workmanship being shipped 2500 miles to my house.  I’ve been to the shows, and any other big horns are equal or more expensive.  They’re just getting started at ~$20k.

Consider making a trip to see Greg and listen to his speakers. He will demo the Cornwall and k-horns next to any of the Volti models. The Razz sounds very good and was my favorite. Worth doing it.

When I first discovered the Volti Klipsch Upgrades, it seemed like Volti drivers were superior to Klipsch.  Since then, demoed Volti Razz several times which sounded great. I purchased the Volti Rival.

If I had a larger space, I would have considered the Volti Vittora before the post Covid price hike.  A more affordable option would be Klipsch Bell + Volti driver upgrade option.

I really enjoy my Razz, every time I listen they bring a smile to my face. One day I may upgrade to a pair of Rival or Lucera's, or maybe not as I simply have so much fun with my pair of Razz.

Last night blasting away with two listens of Wednesday's "Bleeds" and Baroness "First & Second".

Sitting there grooving and grinning thinking, this is what it's all about ! (as my German Shephard dozes next to me on the couch.)
