Do you buy gear new, used, both?

My gear is a mix of having bought new, used and demo pieces. I know some folks that will only buy new, and others that only buy used. How about you?

Also, always new for electromechanical items like speakers, cartridges, turntables, and optical disc players. Used more for electronics. Never buy new for AV pre/pros where fast technology makes instant obsolescence.
