Do You Regret Selling Your Turntable and Albums ?

I"m out of room for hobbies and we will likely be moving to a smaller home. I don't want to wait until the last minute to sell things. That didn't work out well last time we moved. Time to downsize. Again.

I enjoy streaming music and haven't played vinyl in over a year. Did you sell your TT and album collection and did you regret it ?

Every once in a while when I’m streaming familiar albums that I once owned I wonder how my old analog setup would compare.  Then I remember the ritual I went through just to play a record and quickly start thinking about what more I can do to improve my digital front end.

I just spent a few months focused on bringing up my streaming to an acceptable level. Merason DAC1, Eversolo A6 with Beatechnik LPS, Supra Excalibur USB... Streaming is fun and educational and sounds GREAT. FANTASTIC at times. Compared to my vinyl set-up? (Hana SL, Well Tempered Classic TT, EAR 834P) Vinyl wins hands down in realism. If forced to choose I will always choose vinyl. I will let my kids decide what to do with my records when I leave.

No. I don’t at all.
I had a decent TT for the time, a B&O T2.  I really loved it. But when CD’s firmly took over as my music source, I sold the TT. That was sometime in the 90’s. I really don’t remember exactly when. Don’t miss vinyl a bit.

I sold off my analog gear around 2012 but regretted it a few years later.  There are a favorite old albums not available digitally or poorly transferred digitally.  I purchased another analog rig and only own about 30 LPs

I have around 1800 records, but over the years, I have culled stuff I don't listen to anymore. There is a middle ground between keeping-tossing it all. So far I have not missed any of the records I let go, but immensely enjoy all the new stuff that I am getting.
I still have some of my teen records, but have discarded many others as well. And just in case I am missing something, I can rather easily buy it again (e.g., Mike Oldfield, Jean Michel Jare, Grateful Dead). Those that are very rare I still keep even if they are not quite up my alley anymore (e.g., Vorkriegsjugend double single, Teufelskraut sampler, Rough Mixes from Switzerland octagonal pink, Sperma "Züripunx/Sinnlos" single: 1 on discogs for $371!!!).
