We're hearing one side of the story. Don't be so quick to tar & feather the manufacturer.

Why did he pay in advance when he could have paid upon inspection at the store?
Usually when there's a 'significant' reduction in price there could have been some compensations for a reason AND the unit IS still under warranty!!
Sounds like the buyer got a great deal but he's just not happy. So, the simple solution is... return it and PAY FULL PRICE.
