Phono Stage - Gold Note PH -10 & PSU 10 power supply ? or comparable

@tomic601 I looked at the ARC Ref Phono 2SE specs and the gain settings are pretty limited. So you would have to have a cartridge that matches well with this unit. For example my LOMC with 0.4mv output requires 60db of gain. With ARC because I would run XLR out the specs are 51dB (Low), 74dB (High) at1kHz BAL

So it wouldn’t be a good fit. Am I on the right track here?

Well, your cartridge would be fine with 74db of gain, assuming low noise. 60db is a sort of lower limit but not an absolute that cannot be exceeded. The amount of phono gain needed for a particular cartridge is also a function of downstream gain if you have a linestage, amplifier input sensitivity, and speaker efficiency.

koestu rosewood signature , .40 mv output cartridge 

have phono set at 200 now Will look at ARC ref 2se phono

aS well as strongly consider PH10 w/psu

wondering if Gold Note is coming with a PH10.2

since it’s been out awhile and now there’s the 5.2..

Ref phono does quite well with .4 mv carts including my Kuzma CAR-40 and Koetsu  Urishi Black the overall gain structure of the system is and should be 

its all ARC Ref series out to high eighties db Tidal Piano. I’ve run carts w right at .2 and that is sketchy but I’ve got a couple of nice SUT.

I should mention I used the Goldnote with a .3mv Dynavector 17D3 and it was fantastic for $$$.
