Advice on speaker cables.

Maybe you can wait until you "get your new speakers", test with what you have now to get a general idea first. Then figure out where you plan to position them - where they sound their best within the room, then decide on speaker cables, lengths, and such. 

@kmm84 I received your message, unable to msg back.  I’m not sure what you have there now, and the later version cables were by Accusound. If it was before then, hard to say what they are now based on your descriptions. Never seen or heard of those particular product issues before.  Best of luck. 

Speaker cables are very user/system dependent and are useful in refining the sound you are seeking.

The Mogami cables, mentioned above, are usually neutral and represent good value.

If you are handy with a soldering iron, or use spade lugs with locking screws, a good benchmark is to fabricate some speaker cables using microwave cable (NOTE: not all microwave cable is the same gauge and construction type).  Avoid microwave cable with aluminum/steel center conductors plated with copper.  Use microwave cable with solid copper (solid or stranded conductors) or Silver Plated Copper (SPC) wire.  I prefer the solid center conductor SPC construction though it can sound a bit bright.  Microwave cables typically excel in long runs (good if you want to run the cables under a floor to the speakers) due to the low capacitance and low inductance construction.

Once you are used to the microwave cable sound you could bring in other cables for comparison.  You could do the same with the Mogami cable.

The difference in sound you believe you're hearing isn't real but a bias as there is no objective difference in how cables sound from one to another.
