Upgrade Power Cord for FM Tuner

@hickamore, do you have a "better" cord from another component you could install for a trial?  That could be a no cost way to see if you hear any difference.

I haven't done lots of experimenting with AC cables but I'v found three things that can make a difference.  Adequate gauge, quality materials and construction, and shielding.  A range of price points can be matched with those.

Power cords for any component provide no objective difference in sound. Considering that a tuner picks up signals from the air, a power cable will make zero objective difference in the sound. 

Thanks to all for the provocative replies, from which I have learned a good deal including the surprising number of FM aficionados still out there using superb vintage tuners with sophisticated installations.
@tablejockey True, the Levi review led me to post this inquiry to the expert forum. As you note, lamp cord seemed fine in the early days of stereo FM. Anyone who can keep the MR71 running as a workhorse for 60 years is a devotee at the highest level, so kudos to you.
@audphile1 Thanks for the tip on Kimber. I note that Levi himself recommended Kimber for this tuner in his 2004 review. If a less costly option such as Gotham Audio isn't quieter and less shrill, I may spring for it (after new tubes burn in).

Funny. Didn’t know it was recommended for your tuner.
I recommended the Kimber because of my experience with these cords on DAC(pk14 ascent  cord), integrated (pk10 ascent) and phono stage (pk14 base) where I am getting excellent results. No coloration, super low noise floor. Just good power delivery. 
EMM Labs that manufacture EMM and Meitner have a long standing relationship with Kimber Kables. Kimber even makes power cords for the EMM components that are included in the box. Those are just base versions and that’s what I have on phono stage. So I decided to try them on my Meitner DAC and then on the amp and they ended up replacing a far costlier Nordost Frey 2. 
Not sure who or what Gotham Audio are, but if the tuner isn’t a critical piece I guess any half decent 14 gauge power cable will be better than the 18 gauge stock based on how the stock cord is described in this thread.

We have been thoroughly brainwashed thru marketing close to 50 years now. 

My posts didn’t mention the tuner is connected to a PS Audio Powerplant which is plugged into wiring/panel that’s been updated. Perhaps the "clean power" negates any PC upgrade?

Having a captive PC, I’ll never know🤣

MD 108/108T is still a top notch FM tuner with/without aftermarket PC/IC’s.

I have vintage Amperex Bugle Boy tubes in the audio out and that seems to make the only noticeable difference.

Again, YMMV.

Since we’re talkin FM tuna’s we all know nothing will make up for inferior antennae/positioning AND quality broadcast (which is in short supply, unfortunately)
