Accuphase amplifier choice

@schnabelita which air tight amps?  do you prefer the sound of the accuphase?

I was thinking I was close to 275+ hours. But now all it takes is about an hours time for the amplifier to start from cold and sound so delicious! I am glad I to be in this Accuphase Club - I have not heard my music sound so glorious, so clear, so non-fatiguing. And that bass - that keeps the excitement ON. I have said this before and will say again - this amplifier sounds far too powerful than my previous amplifier which was rated 4X powerful as this Accuphase.

@willywonka  - I saw your posted the pic of your new amplifier in the system. Do share what you think about it's ability to drive your speakers. And what the other posters say is absolutely true - need to wait at least 200+ hours to understand and appreciate what an Accuphase can do.

That’s the Accuphase effect—on paper it looks modest, but in the listening chair it feels like unlimited power with silk gloves. Once an Accuphase amp warms up, the magic really shows…beautiful clarity, and that addictive musical bass.

@milpai Sorry for the late response. I completely missed this. I’m extremely impressed by this amplifiers ability to drive my speakers. That was one thing I was mildly concerned about but now I know it will easily drive my speakers to my normal listening levels of 80-95 db. The current this amp supplies is absolutely insane. It keeps doubling its power all the way down to 1 ohm. My old amp was a Coda #8 V1 that did 300 watts into 4 ohms.

I feel I left nothing on the table by loss of any power and this new amp is much more refined. Obviously this is all dependent on your listening levels, room size, speaker efficiency along with some other factors. My speakers drop to 1.9 ohms at 32 hz and this new amp handles it very well with no issues with difficult loads. I played some very heavy low bass songs that were very dynamic to test my worst case scenario and all was well. I feel confident this amp can handle most any difficult load. I’m going to keep my Coda amp for my Magnepan speakers but first need to buy a new preamp that will allow me to switch outputs between different amps.
