The HARD ROCK & HEAVY METAL Thread Continued

Not a very popular genre on this forum, it appears, but, HARD ROCK & HEAVY METAL FANS, feel free to share some worthwhile tracks.

Wow, pretty wild to see thread like this get such a response, this was not the case some time ago. Ok I'm gonna throw a few to the pile.

First - Justin Broadrick  (of Godflesh fame) with his project Jesu. Atmospheric post metal/shoegaze gem.

Second - Cloudkicker, one man instrumental project from Columbus Oh. With strongish djent influences on early stuff, so think meshuggah but more melodic, later stuff a bit different.

These are relatively not well known but with quite a following within the people in the know.

As above, groups (The) Blue Cheer, (The) Cream, The Kinks, Steppenwolf and The Yardbirds all laid down heavy grooves that led to 1970's Heavy Metal movement.

Honorable mention- The Beatles "Helter Skelter" and Iron Butterfly.

Happy Listening!

R. Kotzen and A. Smith dovetail really well together.

FYI: R. Beato just posted an interview with R. Kotzen.
