McIntosh Mc240 - I also run a pair of REL subs. Magical combo. Subs and most Klipsch are friends.

@decooney Regardless of the component in question any account of someone’s getting off the Merry-Go-Round makes for an interesting read. Thanks for sharing, nicely done.

As of now, I go back and forth using a MC252 and an Anthem STR, always with SVS subs. Lately it seems the STR stays in most of the time and the MC252 is powering my Khorns. "Subs and most Klipsch are friends". Truer words my friend.

I used a pair of Heresy III "Capitol Records 75th Anniversary" speakers for years with 2 REL subs (one of which is a new "Classic 99"...great sub) and it all worked swimmingly. Put the IIIs on stands and liked that even more. Amps are a Dennis Had Inspire Firebottle SEP tube masterpiece rotated with a Pass XA-25 (also a masterpiece). Class A...I like it...it’s good (obscure Robbie Robertson reference). I owned a new pair of IVs briefly but they had an upper mid anomaly that caused frowning so off they went. I blamed the poly mid horns but maybe it was simply that particular pair. Still use the IIIs in my video pile (with another small REL) where the IIIs are amazingly well suited. Switched from the IIIs in my main system to a pair of Pure Audio Project "Duet 15 Horn 1s" last fall and I have to say, "yeah man."

I was using Heresy III with a pair of Quicksilver Mid Mono amps and they sounded great.

Currently own a pair of Forte IV.   I use a 300b with those but I rotate amps occasionally.  They are currently being driven by the Mid Monos.   Plenty of power for Heritage and sound great
