Speaker Help Please: Floorstanders around $1Ok to fill very large space with no sub

Hi Gang, haven’t posted in here in years...
A great friend of mine is going through major remodel and looking for 2 large floor standing speakers to fill a great room 38’ long x 20’ wide with a celling that slopes in one direction from 15’-8’. so about 7200 cubic feet. 
He is very serious about music. Used to book bands. He listens to a lot of New Orleans groove-based music and Americana. His wife loves female singers, like Brandi Carlisle.
My main advise to him is, since he/his wife don’t want a sub, they will need speakers with sufficient low end.
Haven’t thought too much about amp yet.

He will also use the system for 2 channel home theater watching.

Pure Audio Project Trio15 or Quintet15 with horn. Easy to drive and will fill that room with beautiful, dynamic music.

I like dipoles in a large room, like large Magnepans. The even power distribution makes the sound sort of magical across the entire room.

For that room I would recommend the 7 evo, but the 5 might also got the job done.

Great sound, fit, and finish. They are efficient too.

My room is almost exactly the same size.  I started out with CW4’s and I think they worked well, but wanted to try something with some different attributes, so got a pair of Audiovector QR 5SE’s.  I’m really enjoying them, but still feel the need for subs.  These are pretty great speakers though.  Believe I’ll stay right here for awhile.
