Has anyone done any business with Quads Unlimited lately???

I'm trying to get in touch with Wayne Picquet & it appears he is nowhere to be found. I've been calling & writing for 2 to 3 months.
Please help!!!

I’d also suggest you don’t date American women if you think that gives you the right to stereotype American attitudes!!!

Just saw all this. I'm a Quad 57 owner. Never worked with Wayne. The poster above is correct: The US healthcare system is a disgrace. So many go bankrupt when the cards turn.

Wayne rebuilt my ESL-63s  in 2017.  The first thing that happened was he said my Quads had been damaged in shipping.  It was never clear what happened. As our relationship progressed I began to wonder if that was his way to extract extra money from me.  We exchanged dozens and dozens of emails over the course of the rebuild and became what I would describe as friends.  He told me about his nearly daily trips to drug rehab, for example.  But it was also a very worrisome period for me because he was taking “forever” to complete the rebuild and there were attempts to charge me extra.  When I finally got  my Quads back and listened to them I nearly shouted out loud with joy and excitement at how wonderful they sounded. All the worrisome issues faded away instantly..   I meant to keep in touch but I never did.  I feel so sad that he had so many insurmountable problems with his health.

in reading over this thread it appears that I was among the last group of customers he must have dealt with!  I feel incredibly lucky that my Quads were treated to his expertise.  And most importantly that I got them returned to me finished and sounding exceptional.  I don’t know what sort of “magic” he put into his rebuilds but they were apparently exceptionally musical as a result of his expertise..

Refurbing Olden Quad ESL Speakers should not be overlooked as an option to rejuvenate and long time owned Speaker. Or to find a very cost effective way into owning a Speaker that is very very competitive against the more recent designs. Even the New X range have been demo'd to my group of friends who own Quads that have been very will cared for, with models owned from Stacked 57's to 2912. It seems there is a little Bass that does become discernible, but Bass for Quads is so well covered as a Topic. The notion to sell and rebuy X's is just not convincing to them.
