I remember years ago when I had a problem falling asleep so I would listen to all kinds of relaxing sounds like rain, thunderstorms, ocean waves etc. These were infinite loop sound effects (not music) and I started to focus on when the loop ended and restarted for every sound effect! Needless to say that didn't work for me! The good thing is that the insomnia subsided over time. It helped that I started exercising more during the day and my mind and body looked forward to the rest and sleep. Also, try to avoid sugary snacks before bedtime. Just know that it's temporary.
