Acoustic Room Treatments

Hello,

What would you recommend for room acoustic treatment for a 11×15 room with 8 foot ceiling?

I recently moved and had to build a new listening room. It took quite a while to get things sounding up to expectations. I found the Woodupp diffusers, www.woodupp.com worked well and are cosmetically attractive. They are also very reasonably priced. Their diffusing/sound damping is very effective so do not over do it. Two panels on one wall is about all you might need. Before you affix them to the wall, move them around to different locations and do some listening to test the effectiveness.
Good Luck!

I use Acoustic Sound panels with great success and custom artwork available for very good prices. Look up how to treat walls for 1st reflections, corner bass traps and treatment behind speakers. If you sit close to a wall look at absorption/ diffusion from GIK ACOUSTICS on back wall behind you. It will make a huge difference in sound quality.

You have a relatively small listening room.  Bass control will be your biggest challenge.  Focus on that first.  I would highly suggest you do your treatments in steps.  Take care of the bass then move onto the first and second points of reflection.  Do some treatments and then add to them incrementally and listen to what you are hearing as your room develops and progresses.  If you follow this you will not fall into the trap of overtreating (over spending) and making the room dead.  Take your time, it's a journey not a sprint.  Good luck and cheers.
