Thiel Owners

Guys-

I just scored a sweet pair of CS 2.4SE loudspeakers. Anyone else currently or previously owned this model?
Owners of the CS 2.4 or CS 2.7 are free to chime in as well. Thiel are excellent w/ both tubed or solid-state gear!

Keep me posted & Happy Listening!

My living room is my space. Yes, I am in the process of dialing-in these loudspeakers now that I have Reference cabling.

Yes, it really is a great listening space. Reflections, if any, are minimal at best. I have carpet over slab with an additional area rug that does not seem to interfere with presentation and sound. 2 layers of crown molding complete the ceiling line.

One last question:  do you spike the speakers through the carpet to the slab or do you do anything different?  I have had great results with the new GAIA NEO feet and they provide adapters that allow their feet to penetrate carpet for a better connection and more stability.  I, being a obsessive audio nut,  just cut the carpet out from under my speakers (it is very old carpet) and put down 24"X24" pieces of Panzerholz  for the GAIA to sit on directly.

ok… I admit I remain unclear and sort of confused

as to your situation.  You started this thread about 10 years ago
But, while you’ll talk about cabling, there’s been so little input from you in terms of

listening impressions etc with your Thiels.

I mean, you have been listening to them all these years haven’t you?
Not just waiting for “ Reference cabling?”

Yes, I spike my Outriggers through the carpet for proper coupling.  I have not gone as  far as cutting out carpet under loudspeakers. That is true dedication! Employing Plinths or Outriggers, one cannot go wrong.
