Thiel Owners

Guys-

I just scored a sweet pair of CS 2.4SE loudspeakers. Anyone else currently or previously owned this model?
Owners of the CS 2.4 or CS 2.7 are free to chime in as well. Thiel are excellent w/ both tubed or solid-state gear!

Keep me posted & Happy Listening!

As always, your Thiel experience and ownership are invaluable here. Thank You for providing sage advice.  I wonder if Jim had a certain model in-mind when he designed then manufactured his Thiel Smart Sub system?

REL -

to my ears, does indeed manufacture the best Subwoofer in the business. Modern or vintage, there is a Model for every Audiophile.

CS 2.4 / CS 2.4SE

an update for fellow fans and owners. I have my pair of CS 2.4SE measured as follows.  39" from back wall, 65" from side walls. 105" apart. My room measures,

16W x 12D x14H.  I will keep re-working these dimensions as I burn-in my Cabling.

Hope this helps.

Happy Listening!

I love Rel subs as well.  I use a pair of Rel S812s with my 3.7s in the main system.  I have an old Rel Strata III in my upstairs bonus room (basically a guest bedroom that gets used infrequently) with a pair of GR Research N3s (MTM with a ribbon tweeter).  I also have a Sumiko S.5 subwoofer (Sumiko used to distribute Rel and from what I understand it is a copy more or less of a Rel T5) in a spare 2-channel system (with a pair of an old Selah audio SA2s - 2 way bookshelf speakers with a ribbon tweeter) in a medium sized bedroom downstairs.  There are other nice subs but I've owned a bunch of Rels (old Storm IIIs and a Q series in a spare HTA) over the years.  I find them easy to set-up with the aid of a RTA.

@jafant what a great room with a high ceiling.  i bet the acoustics are pretty good. i am blessed to have a high cathedral ceiling.   the back wall is about 54" back and the speakers are about 98" from center to center.
