Greetings all: i would like to weigh in on the subject of sub bass systems incorporated with Thiel speakers. Up until about 2013 I was content with the bass I was getting from my 2.4's. I then acquired a single REL A/3 and got a taste of what a good sub can do. Next step was the acquisition of a pair of 2.7's and then a pair of REL S5/SHO subs. I was beginning to get a real sense of what subs (at least REL subs) can do and it is not about just the bass. The sense of space and fullness in sound was becoming very clear to me. Next step was the procurement of my beautiful 3.7’s in 2018 and a set of REL 812 subs in 2022. The final step was the recent acquisition of a pair of REL Carbon Special subs. The sound I am now experiencing is so amazing. The room and the speakers truly disappear. Subs are a must have for most systems in most homes. Hopefully someday soon Duramax will visit my home and lend me the expertise of his hearing. I also await the future updates he and TT are working on for the 3.7’s.
PS: I do have my set of REL 812 subs listed for sale on the other audio website
