used power amp under 1500

I started with a great system and I managed to downgrade it to an OK sound through a lot of trades, sales, questionable decisions and shrinking budget. (No regrets, it's been a fun journey.) I ended up with very low sensitivity, hard to drive speakers and now I need more power. Will 100 Watts be enough and is it OK and safe to buy used? Any brands that are a good value at $1500?

Lots of good amps at your price point. You can contact Schiit customer service and skip their AI...The original Aragon Company  is long gone ( I had the 4004 MKll and it was great)....be careful about buying a 35 year old amp...

PS Audio S300 can be had for $1K range.  Quad Stereo for around $1.5K but they are hard to find. Used Bel Canto

@jbuhl  yes, PS Audio did come up in my search. And I am a big fan of Quad!

The thinking that got you in this fix won’t get you out…. Aragon in your price range is absolutely going to be used…. Grammy winning artist / Engineer David Rawlings monitors using Aragon..
