I am glad that you have a wife. I was under the impression that you were alone. Do you belong to any senior oriented clubs? My wife and I retired 2 years ago and joined one that has a Monday morning lecture series on different topics. The music committee does bring in singers from the Lyric Opera a few times a year, along with Great American Songbook type performances.
My wife and are in our late sixties and most of the club members are 10-20 years older. The club is clearly looking for new blood and we have been persuaded to undertake some committee responsibilities.
