Chair

I’ve been thoroughly bitten by the couch. My listening chair that is.
I’m forced to cut my listening sessions short due to lower back pain (chronic, result of an old injury). Looking to get something that would be comfortable enough to not aggravate the nerve in my tukhes and align properly with my speakers in a sweet spot.
Eames replica in leather? Ikea Poang? Anything else? What do you use?

I often see used-like new Ekornes chairs going for around $1200.

Lots here(where I bought mine for the southern condo)

I see them in Chicago too, similar condition, similar price.  Mine was like new, top end model in a large..$1200.

“In my world, I won’t pay 3 -4 times the price to have a name attached. ”

I wouldn’t either, and I never suggested that anyone should. My point was simply this: if you’re considering an Eames replica, do your due diligence and choose the best replica available within your budget.

Hermon Miller Eames:

  • Checked out online chair design- price seems to keeps increasing
  • started researching how to identify a real vs copy
  • White oak option can go as low as 5.5k. Monthend Sale may drop this lower

Yet to sift through to find great copies vs crap.

I have ruled out the electric chair, Afro not my style…
