We’re NOT buying Italian leather
Chair
I’ve been thoroughly bitten by the couch. My listening chair that is.
I’m forced to cut my listening sessions short due to lower back pain (chronic, result of an old injury). Looking to get something that would be comfortable enough to not aggravate the nerve in my tukhes and align properly with my speakers in a sweet spot.
Eames replica in leather? Ikea Poang? Anything else? What do you use?
I received my Eames chair and ottoman, and any concerns I had about the chair being too low turned out to be a non-issue. The build quality is excellent, and the top-grain Italian leather feels fantastic. The back support is firm yet very comfortable. The instructions were clear and well laid out, and I had everything assembled in about 75 minutes. Thanks again for the insight and inspiration. |
@lalitk great! I’ve been enjoying mine. And my lower back is happy in this chair as well. No pain. |
@kennyc If you're looking at the Eames, the chair I use, just be aware there are many different qualities of this chair on the market. The first one I ordered was from Wayfair. It arrived in two boxes and a lot of assembly was required. The metal worked looked cheap. It went straight back. The second one, the keeper, came from a company in Vancouver BC called Eternity Modern. https://eternitymodern.ca/em-lounge-chair-ottoman#tab=available-order&147=527&152=241&143=236 These chairs arrive in 4'x4'x4' boxes. Incredible packing. Assembly was 3 screws. I guess it's the adage you get what you pay for. Even if you're not going to be ordering from Canada, I suggest anyone should look at the specs on this chair and use it a base for comparison. Cheers. |
