Any ladies in the audience?

Curious about this a long time.

Any female members on here?

I’m here. Sarah from Alexandria VA. Been a member and seller and buyer here since the very old days of 1999 or so. Bought equipment starting in early 80s from Myer Emco (DC), Gifted Listener (Centreville VA), Soundworks (Kensington MD), JS Audio (Burtonsville MD), Deja Vu Audio (McLean VA)—all but the last have closed. Still listening, still reading the forum, not buying and selling as much since I retired and figured out I am totally satisfied with my 4 systems—small ones in BR and office, Alan Eaton flea watt and Omega XRS single drivers in LR, and BAT monoblocks with Audio Physic Avantera+ in rec room/listening room. I guess I have an old school stereo store in my house, bc I also have 3 or 4 other sets of speakers that I sometimes rotate in here or there, but my only WAF is me, and I approve of it all.

@slaw ,

Everything on this forum has been discussed in the past.

@sc53 ,

Well hey Sarah!

Greetings Carpathian. I was glad to see a thread I actually wanted to post on! Reading through the other posts, it seems one member wants to know whether I’m bio or trans female? For his information, I was born female, went to a women’s college (Sweet Briar College, Sweet Briar VA class of ‘75), practiced law as a woman for 35 yrs, and have now retired and am aging as a woman. My hearing seems fine though my tinnitus from all those years of blasting classic rock in the 60s and 70s, and then punk in the 70s and 80s, and grunge in the 90s, is certainly audible in a quiet room or a canyon out west. But I’ve always loved my music and this hobby and have inspired a nephew and one niece to value good sound. The rest are ok with Bluetooth and phones but they know there’s another world out there.

@sc53 - Sarah, nice systems you've put together. Keep enjoying the  music , and the fun of helping others get acquainted with what's possible. smiley
