Moving up in the REL line of subwoofers
I currently have a set of the REL 812 subs which i am very pleased with. However i have the audio virus of upgradeitis and am considering replacing them with the REL 212 double decker subs. Anyone here have experience with that upgrade?

@ronkent Nice setup! Have you tried moving subs away from next to speakers? Often that makes a big difference. If they are well spaced in/around the room, then often more dimensionality is a welcome outcome. Refection on your reflections is my predilection. Add a touch more gain? Adjusted the crossover? Roast beaf and popovers? |
@ronkent well if you have done pragmatic room coupling of the subwoofers I don't think you would be having upgradeitis |
The truth is i am very happy with the sound and have no complaints or issues. I know however from being deep into this hobby since i started in 1975, that there is always room for improvement. Don’t know how that would sound until i hear it and thus am always on the lookout for things i could do to improve the sound and the enjoyment factor. |
