Moving up in the REL line of subwoofers

I currently have a set of the REL 812 subs which i am very pleased with.  However i have the audio virus of upgradeitis and am considering replacing them with the REL 212 double decker subs.  Anyone here have experience with that upgrade?

Thanks so much.

I have no experience with REL subs, however upgradeitus runs rampant. Go for the upgrade. You’ll feel better for a few weeks.

Do you have the room acoustics tested and treated properly? Do you have the room size to support 4 subs? Do your current speakers need more bass, measured not perceived?  If you answer no to any of those then no you don't need another set of subs. Addressing the room is way more important than adding more subs.

I’m thinking the same...Have a pair of REL subs and seeing some great prices on 212se and 212sx now that the new models were just introduced...sonically a great upgrade, financially hmmmm

Kindly tell us what you consider as 'great prices' on new or used? and where can we also see them...Thanx!

I almost bought a used 212SE from TMR for around $2000 ...but it’s now gone...have seen there the 212sx close to $3000…
