Research for subwoofer

These two brands are vastly different. I think they both offer an easily returnable trial period.

One is a sub-bass woofer that dramatically rolls off extra low frequency beginning within the 30Hz region to a barley audible -6dB and can be located most anywhere in a room.

The other is rated -3dB in the low 20Hz region offering most all the low frequency on most any recording. Its performance will depend on placement within any of your rooms standing wave bass modes typically along a side wall.

Good to know ---  but Which is which....Single base is  REL?

Keep in mind that two subs are the best way to go. Getting one is great and will make your system better. Just that two subs takes it to a whole new sound level. I am a Rel Acoustic fanboy, so this is my recommendation https://rel.net/collections/serie-tx

this company has a reputation for being easy to integrate with speakers for a seamless setup. If I can use my experience they are correct. 

Before buying anything, you should hear Rhythmik. Push pull subwoofers are vastly superior to any other! So much cleaner and cheaper than Rel.
