Speaker for 300b amp?

What have you tried and what are you using?

I'm thinking of a single 300b per channel.

Prefer recommendations for current production speakers, not vintage unobtaniums.

Lastly, what is it you like about your combination?

Most of the speakers that I have used with 300B amps are not in production. If I were in the market I would take a hard look at these speakers:

I sense a nice combination of more modern sound with efficiency, meaning speed clarity plus the beautiful midrange possible with 300B.

Resist the pressure to get more and more bass, go for more and more midrange and accessibility to the music..

Best of luck

The Shinjitsu look a lot like the JBL 4367. Since they mention use with low power amps, however, they must have a more benign impedance curve. Sensitivity given is close 96 vs 94 for the JBL

I have tried the JBL 4367 with low power, and it just doesn't cut it.

Pindac, what floor standing coaxial speakers are you talking about?

Antigrunge2, I'd like to be able to pressurize the open floor plan of the ground story of my house- stereoroom, dining room, and kitchen. Maybe 1400 square feet.

Thanks for all of the responses, they are helpful.

Monacor Coax driver - SP-312CX used in a MLTL cabinet.

Mine are the Speakers that have been produced as a personalised design by the individual who built a selection of these models in a 10" Coax version.

If these are of interest I can guide you to the Build Thread.

This is a very very affordable way into experiencing an End Sound that for myself has become very very attractive, so good only the 300B's have driven them, the 845 Mono's are Ornaments where these speakers are concerned, maybe this will change during the Holiday Period.

My Calc's are approximated to +/- 20%.

Drivers $550

Cabinet Materials and Cutting $300 - $800 ( Using a Supply and Cutting Service and is dependent on Board Material Type)

Cabinet Assembly $200 (Using a Professional Cabinet Maker Service)

Cabinet Finishing Materials using the Cabinet Maker Service (Spray Coated / Veneering $150 - $500)

Xover $100

Basic Footers $40

Advanced Footers (Optional Add On - Up to $600)

If a Speaker sharing similarities in their design from a well exposed Brand was to be used as an A/B comparison, using the cheapest build method from the above, purchase prices for comparison speaker will be found to sit between $8K - $20K.

If the more expensive build option was selected, purchase prices for a comparison designs can easily extend by another $10K.

Fyne F1 ?? Models are where comparing sound will be at a good starting place.

I’ve recently picked up a pair of Volti Lucera. Sound wonderful. Give Greg a call. He is super helpful and will answer any questions you may have.
