Installing huge tv with drywall lifter ?

As TV’s have become insanely large and heavy, it’s getting harder and harder to find a friend to come help.. I’ve exhausted all my helpers and need a tool move my 85 in Sony (110lbs) by myself. All I need to do is add an Apple TV. Quick and simple and not worth calling a friend again.

Surely someone has a tool, jack, or lift for quickly lifting a TV on the wall. I was told a Drywall Lift may be what I’m looking for but those sure are big.

Anyone else had any luck with something like this?

The  "basic mount" services in Los Angles (no jokes please) run around $60.

It would probably cost that much to rent a drywall jack, plus you have to pick it up and return it.

There are motorized TV lifts on Amazon starting @ around $180, but what else does it accomplish aside from taking up space after you install the TV?

I feel that I understand where you are coming from as I have a new 9 month old mattress  that I have yet to install as I injured my back (and then both knees weeks apart) after having it delivered.

I'm currently closing in on being ready to complete the mattress switch as I never got where I am today by not being able to do a mattress switch.

@dtximages A drywall lift will not help.  I know cause I own one.  That device still requires you to lift a sheet of drywall (or TV) above waist height to place the sheet on the lift.  You only practical solution is to have a helper.  Cheers.

you can rent a drywall lift from home depot. I agree, you need a buddy, drink the beer after lifting and hanging the TV.

Get someone to help you or multiple people to do it for you.  It's not worth the potential damage.
