Apologies to Norah Jones, I needed more bass!

I've read a lot of positive reviews about Norah Jone's, both in her individual talent and the quality of the recordings.  I've been "meh!" for years.

The last six months I upgraded my main speakers with dual 10" woofers per side and enormous amplifier power and wow, suddenly I really enjoy Norah Jones!! I just didn't have enough bass to do her recordings justice.

No worries, part our our pursuit is the ah ha moments, no ?

check out the Bosendorfer 290 Imperial is you want bass…

In case anyone wants to see the additional bass cabinetry:

At least in terms of displacement, this puts my main speakers in the same category as B&W 801’s and Magico S5s, if they were active. :)   Also, at 48" tall, they are the same height as the Magico S5, so they MUST sound the same, right?

I would recommend Norah's album Little Broken Hearts if you want to hear her music with a bit more umph and bass. She collaborated with the producer Danger Mouse, so that album is decidedly not in her traditional oeuvre that most people associate with her.

Other than the few songs that got/get played to death,  what songs/albums are you referring to?  I’m not a big Norah fan and I’ve tried to listen to her albums, but I end up skipping through the tracks.  Also, what volume levels are you using now?

Thanks.
