@psvane...Sweet! Glad to have you back! When you get a chance, can you talk about the new "Summit" series? Thanks and welcome back!!! |
@mofimadness Thank you for your warmth and welcome! Regarding the Summit Series, in fact, we typically launch an entirely new product series roughly every five years. In our most recent lineup, the hierarchy is: SUMMIT > ART TIII > HORIZON. In the previous generation, it was: ACME > ART TII > HIFI. You can think of it as similar to the relationship between iPhone 16 Pro Max > iPhone 16 > iPhone SE. Specifically, the SUMMIT series is a comprehensive upgrade over the ACME series.
Summit 845 also features a nationally patented composite anode structure that enhances thermal management and electron flow distribution, ensuring excellent linear performance even under high voltage and current conditions. |
@psvane Welcome back. I’ve recently tried the new Summits in 2 of my components and am very happy with the results. There still is a lot of negative chatter however regarding your tube matching and reliability. In my case, one tube in the first pair of Summits I purchased was noisy. At my request, you promptly replaced the bad tube with a new matched pair, which I appreciate very much. The replacement pair and 2nd pair I purchased has been fine so far. But the problem was still there and in your new premier line of tubes no less. Can you elaborate what is being done to eliminate these problems? |
@psvane , Good to see you back. I was the first poster on this thread and wanted to really like your tubes. Unfortunately after 3-4 sets of tubes, I have given up. None of your tubes lasted beyond 1 year (approximately). Your tubes drove me to NOS tubes for good 😀. |
