What Series Wiring Means

In a series configuration, all speakers are connected in a chain:

• Positive (+) of the amplifier → positive (+) of the first speaker

• Negative (−) of the first speaker → positive (+) of the second speaker

• Continue this pattern for all additional speakers

• Negative (−) of the last speaker → negative (−) of the amplifier

This setup ensures each speaker receives the same current and the total impedance is the sum of individual speaker impedances. For example, two 8-ohm speakers wired in series result in a total impedance of 16 ohms, and three 8-ohm speakers give a total of 24 ohms
