Recommend you contact Greg at Volti Audio and arrange a visit. He is located in Baxter, TN which is a reasonable drive from Franklin. Horns are a more directional speaker which will reduce sidewall and glass reflections. I believe his speakers would fill your space. FYI, I do not own horn loudspeakers, but if I was looking to buy some, Volti Audio would be my first stop.
Looking for speakers in a large vaulted great room
I have a large great room that we are building that will have the dining room in between the great room and the kitchen. The 2 rooms combined will be about 21’ wide by 30’ long to the edge of the kitchen. The room is vaulted, and will have a wall of glass, sliding glass doors and windows on one side leading to the outside. Needless to say this is not an ideal listening room, but I would like to have some speakers that fill the space with music. I am not trying to do surround sound, just 2 channel from one end, opposite the kitchen. There will be a fireplace at that end, and I could do floor speakers or bookshelf, although there will be a window on either side of the fireplace, so the bookshelf speaker would have to sit on top of a built in-cabinet below the windows. Not looking to add anything to the walls, trying to make the room an enjoyable space with great sounding music. Willing to look at used speakers as well. Any thoughts?

Meridian DSP use digital to control directional pattern of speakers claiming to eliminate boundary effects other passive or active speakers struggle with. and drum roll.. I just happen to have a pair available at huge discount. Seriously tho', I did buy a pair when room effects created a bass null in the center of my room with the bass audible best in the back left corner, no lie. The speakers did overcome the null for me, and their website does display the speakers in a room with a solid glass wall. Try to find an experienced dealer that will work with you. if that option's out buy used so you can resell at minimum financial loss. |
