Can I Run 2 sets of speakers at once?
I have a set of JBL L100(1975) and a set of Altec Model 14(1981)
I have an Audio Research VT 100 power amp.
Can I run these at the same time? Amp has 4 ohm outputs.
IF both speakers are rated at 8 Ohms, yes, but it won't be great, and you won't be able to balance them separately.
The OP probably wants to run both in two rooms together. Tube amps are usually ok with 4 ohms or less.
In the same room not advisable, the speakers will cause issues with comb filtering.
