Incredible Audio System for $1K

First this Solid State system sounds as good as having a midrange cost tube amp. Most important sre the Speakers. I bought used Monitor Audio Silver 3i. They sound about as good as my previous Revel M22 that is a serious performing speaker. Next is a Douk NS-13G class D amplifier. This amp is stunning. Sounds same as a midrange cost tube amp. Produces 60 Watts RMS per channel. Uses newer Texas Instruments TPA3255 power amp that many report here is a serious performer. The amp has phono and 1 volt Aux input. It also has treble and bass controls. Using NE5532P op amps, it can be replaced with Muses 02 amps for greater performance, The tunable is a Pioneer. PL-30-K that is also a good performer. I bought open box on eBay for $299. Box was sealed never opened. I replaced cheap cartridge with a AT VM95E. Not quite the VM540ML but is a good performer. Finally, I bought a Meridian 504 FM tuner. Of course there are better sounding systems, but this system is an excellent performer. Does one need more?

As long as you are happy with the system, that is all that matters, @jimbennet. Some people never get to where you are.

How are people able to negatively comment on a system they have not heard?

what happened to the tariff thread?

Predictably, it’s been removed.   Apparently even talking about what is going on is bad for business.  Understandable, because it is.

Sad thing is I get 100’s of beautiful upvotes in those threads then they all go down the drain.  Easy come, easy go.   Just like the East Wing, affordable health care, and all the rest, etc..

BTW I have an incredible sounding system in my wife’s acoustically challenged sun room that I bought for $600.   I’ve tried everything there but never achieved current spectacular results.  Vanatoo active speakers I heard at an audio show a few years back.  The room was packed....way more than most.  People couldn't believe what they were hearing.   Just add a computer, tablet or smart phone, which most already have, as a source.  I recommend Roon software for best overall experience.

jimbennet "Now you know first test was with a FM tuner ads second test with TT arriving 2 hours later a second test. The second test sounded like a different amp yet you are playing games including the first test as valid performance"

In your other Douk thread you wrote after you got the TT that the Douck was better than low level tube preamps. Here’s your post

"Update: My previous review was done with an FM tuner. What a mistake. My new TT arrived 2 hours later. Using the TT the amp is completely different. IMO it does sound as good as lower end rebuilt with better PIO caps and best tubes tube amps. A Scott 222 tube amps is better but not by much. Typical lower end Knight and Lafayette tube amps are a waste of money compared to this Douk amp.

Then in this thread you declared it is better than mid level tube amps.

"Next is a Douk NS-13G class D amplifier. This amp is stunning. Sounds same as a midrange cost tube amp"

You do know that you wrote those don’t you, or do you simply like to try to skirt the issue.
